My top 13 songs of 2012

In no order of preference here are the 13 (because it's one of my favourite numbers) songs that I have played on replay over and over again this year.

1. Katy Perry - Wide Awake

2. Cher Lloyd - Call my name

3. Carly Ray Jepsen - Call me maybe

4. Colour Coding - Perfect

5. Kick - Colour Coding

6. Ke$ha - Die young

7. Maroon 5 - One more night

8. Owl City ft. Carly Rae Jepsen - Good Time

9. Marina and the Diamonds - Lies (Acoustic)

10. Calvin Harris ft. Florence Welch - Sweet nothings

11. Samantha Jade - What you've done to me

12. Sam and the Womp - Bom bom

13. Mariah Carey - Triumphant

+ 1 more. I have to add one more song to the list. Any 2012 music list would not be complete without Gangnam Style by PSY.

NOTD: Oroton Gold Glitter Nails + Review

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Product:
 Top Coat Nail Polish

Brand: OROTON.
Shade: Gold Mesh
Size: 15ml/.5FL OZ
Packaging: The top coat polish is encased in a rectangle bottle with a metallic silver top.

Price: $AUD 25.00
Where to buy: Available from OROTON stores or online.

PRODUCT REVIEW:
"long lasting and high gloss finish"

This gold speck top coat is perfect for the holiday season. I applied 3 coats over MISSHA in shade JGLO1. The brush is cut well and is shaped to apply a generous amount of product on to the nail.  It applies easily over the nail however building up the product is a little difficult. Drying time is average - I allowed 40 minutes. My polish chipped after 2 days, but it may have been due to the MISSHA polish which was on my nails already for 2 days prior to me applying this glitter top coat.

There are other shades of nail polishes from OROTON but the range is very small. Here is a link so you can check out the other shades: http://www.oroton.com/view-all-beauty/nail-polish/w1/i2245876_2273625/
I love this product and it's packaging but it is rather pricey. Also removal takes a bit of time. I recommend drenching a cotton pad (or ball) in nail polish remover and letting it sit on your nail for 15 seconds before swiping the product off. It may take a few tries to fully remove the product.

Have you tried the OROTON polishes? What do you think of them?

Beauty Bargains from Big W

Got spare change? Then run to your nearest BigW and pick up a few make-up treats by boe beauty for $2 each. To be honest I have never heard of this brand before and I can't seem to find anything on good ol' google. The products are quite pigmented and for the price, these products are basically a steal!

I bought 2 lip Glosses in a red and pink/magenta shade. I love bold and bright lip colours.

Top: #5 Ruby in the Sky Lip Laquer
Bottom: #4 Kissalicious Lip Laquer
I also got this gorgeous blue nail polish.

#3 Blue Illusion Nail Enamel
I usually wing out my eyeliner so I wanted to try the brand's liquid eyeliner.

#1 Black Noir
The last product I got was a shimmery bronzer. I have a lot of matt bronzers so this would be a great addition to my collection.

All up I spent $10 and bought 5 Items - Now that's what I call a beauty bargain! =)

Anatomicals Stop Cracking Up Lip Balm Review

Price:
$4.34 from ASOS

Packaging:
The packaging is quite simple which I don't mind. It's in a red plastic tube, it's slender enough to keep in your pocket or even in the tiniest hand bag.

What they claim:
"Everyone loves lush, moist lips and this excellent designer lip balm is an excellent
place to start. With a host of ingredients including beeswax, olive oil and zingiber to
keep dryness and soreness at bay, it will give you any excuse to pucker up"
Pros:
  • The price is very affordable
  • Very slight sweet fragrance
  • Moisturises and hydrates the lips.
  • Clear colour allows you to apply it under or over your lipstick.
Cons:
  • The product comes out slightly thick and gloss like, however it's not sticky when it's on the lips.
  • It's not very accessible in Australia.
  • No longevity, I have to keep reapplying

Lancome Beauty Box 2012

The Lancome beauty box is available from Myer for $99 with the purchase of any Lancome perfume. Personally, this is my favourite purchase of 2012. The products included are worth over $99 and the glamorous gold make up case is cute and functional.

Lancome released this instructional image on how to create the Lancome glamorous look using the products included in the beauty box.

Farewell Addicted to lip balm + haul

Along with Aussie lip balm lovers, I was very sad to learn that the  Addicted 2 Lip Balm website closed. Fortunately I ordered a few things and snapped up a bargain. I ordered 3 organic lip balms. The items were packaged well and shipped promptly after payment.

I wish the online store was not closing down because it was so handy to have a website dedicated solely to lip balm.
I will do a product review on each of the lip balms below soon.

Tiffany & Co inspired nail colour by Rimmel

Happy first day of summer everyone!

For those living in Sydney, today sure felt like summer with the 40+ degree weather. 045 Misty Jade by Rimmel London is the perfect nail colour for summer parties and beach (or pool) chillaxing. It's also a very similar shade to the
famous turquoise-like hue Tiffany & Co are known for. I buy my Rimmel London nail polishes from Priceline for $5.95.
