Happy Easter & Easter Show 2013

Happy Easter friends. I hope you've all had a lovely time with your family & friends. This year my family and I celebrated a very quiet and relaxing Easter - a contrast to when I was a child and there was always a party somewhere with an Easter egg hunt. My friends and I attended the annual Sydney Royal Easter Show. We arrived after 5pm and paid only $18 for the entrance ($37.50 full price). We went on a couple of rides and the bf and I ate some greasy show food - It's a must! haha.

I'm going to be honest, I only go to the show for the show bags. As soon as we arrived there I made a beeline straight to the show bag pavilion like an over excited child. Here are the show bags that I bought and what they contained.

Cleo Show Bag

Cleo Magazine, Shop Til You Drop Magazine, NW Magazine, Pink Cosmetic Bag, Kotex Ultra Thin Liners, Kotex Nude Liners, White Glo Toothpaste, Designer Brands Lip Liner, Zip Bandz, Palmolive Shampoo & Conditioner Sample, Garnier Sample, Compeed Sample, Moccona Caramel Coffee Sample, BChill Island Cocktail Relaxation Drink, 3 x Strawberry Fields Tic Tac & Various Vouchers.
+ 1 Free x Designer Brands Liner Free With Print Out Voucher. Click here for the Cleo Show Bag voucher.

Missing: Kotex Non Wing Liners and Walk A Day In Our Shoes - Shoe Laces.

The cost of the show bag was $20. It was worth it as the magazines, bags and Kotex products more than covered the cost price.

Madison Show Bag

Madison magazine, Harper's Bazar magazine, OK magazine, Tote bag, Wallet, Sunglasses, Designer Brands liner, Nerada 10pack tea, Fantastic Delites, Kotex nude liners, 3 x McCormick spices, Lindt chocolate, Moccona caramel coffee sample, Fresh Spray deodorant, White Glo toothpaste, White King bleach tablet, Ajax multipurpose wipe sample, Compeed sample, Garnier BB cream sample, Palmers Coco Butter lotion sample, Palmolive Shampoo and Conditioner sample, Garnier Ultra lift sample, Banana Boat sunscreen sample, Dermeze soap free wash sample, 4 x Strawberry Fields Tic Tac, Ribena black current fruit drink and various vouchers.

+ 1 Free Batiste Dry Shampoo with print out voucher. Click here for the Madison Show Bag voucher.

Missing: Kotex Ultra Thin Liners.

The cost of the show bag was $20 (Originally $22). This bag was definitely worth it. The magazines, the tote, the sunglasses and cosmetics more than cover the cost price.
I wanted to get the Women's Health Magazine showbag but unfortunately it was sold out. My tips for buying showbags is to definitely make it your first stop so you don't miss out on your favourite showbags. If you're starting at the beginning of the day hire a locker to securely hold your showbags and save you from the pain (those bags get heavy) and hassle of carrying them around. If like me you're going after 5pm and you're not buying much, you can get away with carrying them with you for a short time. Wearing comfy clothes and shoes is a must so you can enjoy the show in comfort.

What are you guys doing this Easter and if you're in Sydney have you been to the show? I'd love to know how you celebrate Easter and if you got any showbags this year. Take care and have a safe Easter break.

Turquoise Nailpolish Collection & Swatches: OPI, Essie, Rimmel London

Hello friends. My blog posts have been so sporadic due to my busy schedule. I have so many things I'd love to share with you guys and so many products to review. Today's post is on nail polish.

As most of you know, I absolutely adore turquoise. My like for this shade began in 2012 and now I can say it's a full blown obsession. I find myself gravitating towards this chirpy shade in my recent purchases (if I'm given a colour choice). I've recently acquired a mini collection of turquoise nail polishes. Without further ado here are some pictures and swatches of the nail polishes.

My Turquoise Nail Polish Collection
O.P.I - Mermaid Tears

China Glaze - For Audrey

China Glaze - Turned up turquoise

Essie - Where's my chauffeur?

Essie - Turquoise & Caicos

Rimmel London - 045 Misty Jade

Unknown brand bought from the Philippines. Shade: 03

Swatch of the turquoise nail polishes.

These shades remind me of the Tiffany & Co. motif. Have you tried any of these polishes or know any other turquoise shades? Please let me know in the comments section below or find me on facebook and twitter: @LittleMissSCB. See you all soon x

NOTD & Product Review. Essie: Turquoise & Caicos

Hello friends. This week I'll be doing a series of turquoise nail polish reviews with a total collection of all my Turquoise nail polishes at the end.  The first one is this gorgeous shade by Essie. Turquoise & Caicos leans a little towards green on the colour spectrum as far as the shade goes, but It's still quite similar to the Tiffany & Co. motif.

This is my first time using Essie. The brand has a cult following and now I can understand why. The polish applies quite evenly and the shade is quite true to the bottle. The polish however runs a little translucent and I find the best way to apply this is in 3-4 light layers.

The price is quite hefty at AU$18.95 for 15mL from Myer. It lasted without chipping for 3 days which is impressive because I'm always washing my hands and lately I've been doing a lot of cleaning up around the house.

Overall this product was a pleasure to use. Just a handy hint I have is to make sure that the polish is applied in light layers and wait till the previous layer is dried before you apply the next one as it can streak and drag.

Have you tried Essie before? Let me know what you think of them in the comments section below. Also don't forget I'm also on Facebook and Twitter. Until next time - Take Care.
