Review: The Clearasil DailyClear Vitamins & Extracts Scrub

I am rather partial to facial scrubs so when the Clearasil DailyClear Vitamins & Extracts Scrub facial cleanser arrived for me I was eager to use and review it. As I have combination skin I am prone to blackheads. To combat this I use a facial scrub at least once a week. Exfoliation is a great way to encourage skin re-generation and maintain healthy and youthful skin.

The Clearasil DailyClear Vitamins & Extracts Scrub is packaged in a clear tube and contains 150ml. It retails for approximately AU$ 10.99 and is available from pharmacies and supermarkets. The scrub is gentle enough for daily use and contains Vitamin E and Avocado extracts to nourish the skin. Pomegranate fruit extract (rich in anti-oxidants) is also included to promote healthy looking skin.

"...Scientifically designed formula cleanses away dirt, oil and bacteria to help un-clog pores. "

How to use:
"Wet the face and dispense the product into your hands, lather and massage gently onto the face avoiding the delicate eye area. Rinse thoroughly with warm water. Gently pat dry. Use twice daily."

Personal Review: Pros+ The clear plastic packaging helps you to see how much product is left.
+ At RRP AUD$ 10.99 for 150ml, this product is very affordable.
+ I did not have a skin reaction.
+ My face felt so smooth after use.
+ The exfoliating beads were not harsh or abrasive on my sensitive skin.
+ The exfoliating scrub is quite fine yet does it's job gently.
+ Rinses off easily.
+ There is a clear and visible expiration date.

Personal Review: Cons
- Although not entirely unpleasant, I did not care too much for the scent. I describe it as fruity and slightly medicated.

Editors Final Note(s)
As you can see the only qualms I have with this product is the scent (personal preference).
The product instructions
recommend twice daily use, however If you have sensitive skin I would limit it to once a day or a few times a week. The scrub is quite gentle so I would recommend it to all skin types. I don't have acne and I rarely get breakouts so unfortunately I can not say whether this will clear spots. I have keratosis pilaris on my arms and as this product contains Benzyl Salicylate I'll use it on that region to help diminish the appearance of "bumps". The Benzyl Salicylate might help if you have acne or pimples. I found that this cleaned my oily t-zone gently. Would I recommend this? - Yes. It's affordable, can be used on the body and more importantly it works! :)

  1. I have this scrub too and I love it! I agree with your point about not using it twice daily - I use it in the morning. I've written a review on it too, in case you wanted to check it out :)

    1. Hi Sarah, I just checked out your review. Great post! I find that twice a day exfoliating is a little overkill and too abrasive. I use my scrub at night because I find that it helps remove makeup too :)

  2. I haven't tried their scrub but I have tried their daily wash! I don't follow their directions / recommendations as I find the formula a bit harsh for my skin sadly.

    1. Hi Louise. Yeah sometimes the recommendations aren't for everyone. Btw, thanks for posting the link for the lipton tea. I've ordered and it's on it's way. I'll also be posting my August LHI box next week. I got exactly the same stuff as you did, except a different shade of polish. :)

Hi and thanks for leaving a message! :) Sunshine x
